All That Comes With Fall

I love all of what the season of fall brings. Nice weather, new TV shows, football, family time, etc. I am anxiously awaiting for the new series of TV shows to come back on. I have mapped out what shows I am going to watch. I am going to try out some new ones this year and see how I like them. I am the type of person that once I get hooked to a TV show, I have to keep up. Thank goodness for DVR! My favorites are of course Grey's Anatomy and The Office. I am looking forward to Private Practice with Addison from Grey's Anatomy (the mini intro from Thursday night was good). I watched to pilot on K-ville Monday night, it was pretty good. There are so many others I am excited about, too many to name.

Not to mention football season. If you know me at all, you know I absolutley LOVE football season. I'm a C-K (coaches kid) so I guess it is in my blood. My fave team is of course the Houston Texans. I am not going to jump on the band wagon and root for the Cowboys just because I live closer to Dallas now. NOWAY! I like the Texans so much that my husband convienced me to purchase the NFL Ticket so that we can watch them every Sunday. Now that's a faithful fan.

Buddy is back to normal! His ear infection has cleared up and he isn't in anymore pain, thank goodness! I am excited about this weekend because the weather is supposed to be super nice. Still warm, but nice. I guess it will start cooling off here pretty soon...and then fall weather will be here for good! Speaking of fall...Casey has promised to take me to Hobby Lobby this weekend to see about getting some fun fall decorations for our new home. I'm so excited about this.....yeah, yeah, I'm a dork, but I don't care :) I'm gonna have fun fall decor for the season!

Buddy...

My sweet Buddy has an inner ear infection in his left ear. Poor baby! This morning he kept shaking his head over and over again, so Casey and I decided that it was his left ear that was bothering him. Casey took him to our Vet and sure enough....he has an ear infection. Even though his ear is bothering him, he is still the same happy go lucky Buddy that we know...tail wagging and everything. What a good sport. I hope he gets to feeling better real soon with the medicine the doctor prescribed him!

This fall...

is going to be a good one, I can already tell. Sunday was my first Sunday with my new Sunday school class. I am teaching the 8th grade girls. They are a great group of young ladies that have a hunger to learn more about our God. I can already tell that this year is going to be a challenging one, in a good way, and we learn new things from each other that will benefit us with our walk with Christ. This is my first year to teach a Sunday school class. I am so thankful that I have these girls to love and to teach during my first year as a leader.

The weather has been very nice these last couple of days. Like in the 80's, and for Texas, that is pretty nice! All day yesterday I was wanting to be outside instead of inside at work. Thank you God for this lovely weather we have had. It is greatly appreciated.

OK, so I have to brag about my Texans...we won this past Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs! Yes, I know we played the Chiefs and "should" have won, but we had a GREAT game and a lot of good plays were there and our knew quarterback was on FIRE! So, I was happy!

Birthday Weekend

Last Sunday was my birthday! I turned 26 years old. Now, this may sound funny, but every year I turn an even age I never feel any older, but they I turn an odd age I always feel older. See, I told you it would sound funny. I had a wonderful birthday weekend. Friday, when I came home from work I came home to my wonderful husband and two great friends, Brad and Amanda, and I got to meet their daughter, Madison, for the first time. We went to dinner and then came back to the house to watch movies. Then on Saturday, Casey cooked all of us breakfast, and then the guys watched college football all day, while the girls got pedicures and did some fun shopping. Then we all went to dinner at my favorite Mexican food restaurant, Abuelo's. Sunday morning the entire youth group sang Happy Birthday to me!!! It was so sweet...after church we all went to Olive Garden for lunch, YUM!

After lunch our friends left to go back home. So I decided to take a nap. Little did I know that 1 hour later I was going to have more company show up. Shortly after our friends left I heard a knock at the door, only to find my parent's and MawMaw and her twin sister at the door with a birthday cake! They surprised me and came into town on my birthday. I was so happy to see them. We went to dinner that night at Fishmonger's...so good! Then Saturday, the girls went shopping, and Dad watched football, while Casey played golf. Then we came home from shopping to Dad's home grilled steaks!!! It was a wonderful weekend filled with good friends, wonderful family, and fun times. Turning 26 was a lot of fun :) Here are some pictures from the weekend!
