Joining the Choir

After five months of being at our new church, I finally decided to join the choir. That's right, I'm in the choir, and absolutely love it. I have only been a choir member for two weeks now. And out of those two weeks I have already missed a practice, but I had a legitimate excuse. Casey planned a youth event that I just HAD to attend last Wednesday night. So, I could not make it to practice.

Therefore, on Sunday morning when we sang our special song, I sang probably 2 random solos due to not knowing the music very well. I guess that is what I get for skipping. So today is Wednesday, and there is choir practice, and I WILL be there tonight so that there are no more random outburst solos done by Tasha. I blame you Casey. You are the one who planned the fun youth event last Wednesday night! HAHA Oh well, I got a good laugh out of it, and so did the person that was standing next to me on Sunday. :)

Speaking of Sunday...this Sunday is my birthday! The big 26 :)

Just Drake

My nephew, Drake, is so much fun! We went to my brother's football game this Saturday and this was Drake's first football game. He really liked the music from the band and all of the fun and excitement that comes with going to a football game. He was such a good baby! Of course he loved being at the football game...he's an Espinoza! Here are a few pictures I snapped from the game.

Summer is Ending

Summer is winding down. On my way to work this morning the traffic near my neighborhood was horrendous. All of the parents were crossing streets with their little ones, walking them into their classroom for the first day of school. One little kid was even carrying a basketball with him. I guess he wasn't ready to let go of the summer fun just yet!

Casey and I survived our first summer at our new church with our youth group. We had a great summer spending time with them. I can't wait to see what the fall brings. I do know that football season is here and the smell and the weather are about to be here too. And yes...there is a smell to football season! Speaking of football...how about those Texans? They beat the Cowgirls, I mean boys this past Saturday. Romo, where were you dude?? It was a sweet win!
