Hot Summer Days

I love summer time. When summer roles around you always hear about people going swimming, going to water parks, fishing, playing ball outside, going to summer church camps, sun tanning, golfing, playing tennis, and just flat out having a good time. I especially enjoy grilling outside after going for a long swim in the hot sun. Ahhh, what a summer!!!

This is the first summer that I have had to work, without a break. BUT, I am now a grown up & am in the real world & can no longer do these things listed above as I please. But, I'll live. Sometimes when I am at work, I do wish I was swimming in the pool, playing a game of tennis, or fishing, instead of being inside. However, I am glad I have a job that is inside rather than outside all day long, because ahhhh, I couldn't image the heat all day long!

With all this said...I love summer, miss the fun events, but enjoy them every once in a while :)

Loosing Sleep

I'm 24, married with no kids. Well, I kind of have one, his name is Buddy, and he is our sweet dog. Last night I felt like I had a baby on my hands though. It was raining and storming outside, and Buddy hates the rain. He gets scared & wants to be right up next to me & Casey when the weather is bad. But laying by us is not enough....he wants us to pet him, comfort him and sometimes play with him, even if it is 4AM in the morning. Sometimes it gets so bad that Casey has to go into another room with him so that I can get some sleep for work the next day. I sure do hope Casey does that when we have an actual baby :) I'll just remind him of his generosity when Buddy was a wimp & needed someone to be with him during those rainy nights. You think that might work? Anyway, I don't like it when it rains at night after I am already asleep, because I am no longer resting, but comforting my dog!

Another Perspective

While talking to a friend about my last post, I realized she and I were not talking about the same kind of Heat. She thought I was talking about the temperature in Miami....not the sports basketball team. It was pretty funny. You see, she isn't big on sports really, so it kind of explains why she would think HEAT temp. over HEAT sports. Just thought I would throw that out to anyone else who thinks that is funny!!!

The HEAT

For those of you who like basketball, you know that the finals are going on right now. It is between the Miami Heat & the Dallas Mavericks. Holla everyone for the HEAT! OK, so they didn't do so well last night, but their are plenty nights for them to show off their stuff!

Yes, I know it is crazy that I am not for the Mavericks, even though they are a Texas team....but I really like Shaq, he is not only a wonderful team player, but he is a caring individual who gives a lot of the money he makes to others in need each year. That is really amazing to me & makes him such a neat individual!!!!
